When it comes to spreading the Word of God on audio, there are not enough good things to say about Dorothy Miller
and her Simply the Story ministry team. Dorothy writes, "So many people's lives are being impacted
by the solar-powered audio Bibles and Bible stories we give to people, that we are finding it difficult even to
keep up with the incredible reports that pour in!"
Simply the Story uses Bible stories to reach, and teach, non-readers in many
countries. Bible stories on MegaVoice players are used to train the non-reading church and also
to reach those who have never heard the Good News. Simply the Story has just finished a workshop in Nairobi, Kenya, where African
leaders from seven West African countries took part.
"There was one highly-educated Christian leader from Côte d'Ivoire who attended with great
reluctance," Says Dorothy. "At the end of the five day workshop he stood up and told how
he had resisted coming. He then excitedly proclaimed, "This training should not be called 'Simply The Story.'
It should be called 'The Deepest Bible Study Ever Invented!' '
400 players needed for summer outreach
A follow-up trip is now being arranged with African leaders for early summer 2010. Dorothy is asking MegaVoice International to help supply another 400 MegaVoice players which can impact up to 4,000 people. Dorothy tells us that at least ten people are influenced by each MegaVoice.
