Bible translator needs 300 MegaVoices for Irumu people
Vanuatu: a small island 1,500 miles off the coast of Australia.
Wycliffe Bible translator,
Ross Webb, now field director of Bible translation in Vanuatu, worked faithfully for many years in Papua
New Guinea, a large Pacific island north of Australia. Ross has translated the Bible for the Irumu people
so they can grow in the Word. He recently recorded some of the Scriptures on audio and gave two hundred
MegaVoice digital audio players to non-reading Irumu people. The results were beyond all expectations.
Thanks to years of diligent work by Ross and local co workers, the Irumu people now have the translated
New Testament and Psalms and other portions of the Old Testament in their own language. "Not only is
it in print," reports Ross, "We now have the translation recorded on MegaVoices. People are listening to
the truth in all its glory - day and night! We've distributed 200 so far, but the results have been so
great that we are asking the Lord for 300 more."
Please pray and ask the Lord if He would have you donate so that more audio Bibles can be distributed among the Irumu people of Papua New Guinea.
